Dr. Adeel Ashiq Gujjar is a Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon with extensive expertise in neonatal surgery, laparoscopic and minimally invasive paediatric surgery, congenital anomalies, and complex surgical conditions in children.
He completed his MBBS from Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Lahore, followed by postgraduate training in Paediatric Surgery at The Children’s Hospital, Lahore. He also holds CMIS (BAPES UK), reflecting advanced training in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Adeel has played a significant role in developing paediatric surgical services, including establishing and strengthening dedicated Paediatric Surgery Units at Social Security Teaching Hospital and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore. His clinical interests include neonatal, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, congenital and minimally invasive paediatric surgery.
He is also actively involved in postgraduate teaching, surgical training, academic activities, multidisciplinary care, and paediatric surgical service development. In 2026, he received the Best Graduate Award and Gold Medal in Paediatric Surgery from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, recognizing his outstanding postgraduate performance.
